Indians were going strong in the chase of 272 and when the rain came pouring down they were 100/1 in 16 overs with half centuries from Robin Uthapa, but rain halted play and when the game resumed Indian found themselves chasing another 56 runs in 50 balls. But AM Rahane completed his fifty with guiding hand of stand in captain Suresh Raina to win the first ODI by 7 wickets.
